Google Cloud Billing with Unknown Account ID

Hi 

I am a billing administrator on the projects in our company and I have access to two billing accounts. We regularly receive invoices from Google for these two accounts but also receive invoices for an account ID which is not listed in the accounts I can see. There is no one currently employed at our company who knows what this account is for. 

Is there any way to track down what service this is for and add this account to the ones I can administer?

Your best bet is to get in touch with Google Cloud Billing Support. There are several ways to contact Google Cloud Billing support to ask questions about an invoice:

1. For Billing Administrators:

  • Billing Support Requests Form: Use this form to communicate billing questions: https://support.google.com/cloud/contact/cloud_platform_billing
  • Direct Contact (if you're a billing administrator on at least one Cloud Billing account):
    • In the Google Cloud console, go to the Help and Support page.
    • In the Category field, select Billing as the issue category.
    • Select Get billing support to access a dedicated billing support site, the Billing assistant.

2. For Non-Billing Administrators:

You can still get help through the following channels:

  • Interactive Billing Assistant: Available in the Google Cloud console, the interactive billing assistant can help answer common billing questions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Cloud Billing Documentation: Consult the official Cloud Billing documentation for answers to frequently asked questions and detailed guides: https://cloud.google.com/billing/docs

Thanks for the help Roderick, I've managed to find the 'Unknown GCP Charge Inquiry' form through the support link you provided and have now submitted a request for help through this.
