Is there any fresh documentation for yahoo weather API proxy setup using oauth?
Yahoo Weather API Proxy has been discontinued after yahoo upgraded the security of their weather APIs. See more details here.
@docs team is updating API Proxy Getting Started tutorial with Hello World APIs. Please keep us posted if you have any specific issue getting started with oAuth & Hello World APIs. Please refer to https://docs.apigee.com for more details.
I have logged into yahoo developer portal and created an app with call back domain as apigee.net. I got the client id and secret. I was wondering if I can configure the yahoo weather api using the same or is it not at all possible to use yahoo api at all?. May be a foolish question.
@Arun Edakunni Variyath Great Question, No Question is a foolish question in community 🙂
You can also proxy APIs secured by OAuth. Yahoo Weather API Proxy expects you to implement OAuth 1.0 to make API calls with access tokens. I believe implementing same will be time-consuming for newbie in Apigee. We would suggest use Apigee Hello World APIs like http://asagarnodeapp-test.apigee.net/v0/hello/ip to get started. If you are interested to use Yahoo Weather API, Seems like they reopened public access to some of their APIs. Find more about same here.
