Use own API Developer portal with APIGEE Edge Cloud

Dear All,

We have chosen the integrated developer portal to provide API specifications and grant api access while using the APIGEE Edge cloud. However, the portal has been shut down owing to security concerns, as a result we are looking for alternate ways to make the portal functioning. 

We discussed the idea of a Drupal based portal, but since this portal serves a small number and due to the cost involved for having a Drupal resource will not provide us with enough ROI. Question is, can any other product be merged with APIGEE Edge cloud for an effective API Portal? As I understand the product integration with Edge Cloud is crucial for allowing API access or else this cannot replicate all the capabilities of Integrated developer portal (and will just serve as a mere specification sharing site).

Either you use the integrated portal, a drupal based portal or build your own/use another solution and manually integrate against the Apigee Management APIs (Some key APIs are listed on this portal comparison page).

Can you elaborate on the specific security concerns you have with the integrated portal?
