Router.properties - Thread pool

Not applicable

All,

Need information for 'Threadpool' properties defined at Router.properties file at Router:

  • Significance of the "Threadpool.size" property at router.properties file
  • How to find if all configured threads as part of thread pool at Edge (Router or MP) have been consumed and are becoming bottleneck? Is there any warning /error message thrown (as part of logs?

Cheers, Rajesh

Thanks Shirish Kuncolienkar for inputs.

Based on my discussion with Shirish, These properties need to be ignored and are not used by Router.

Hi @rdoda , you talking about threadpool.properties or router.properties?

Hi @Maruti Chand,

Following properties have been defined as part of the "router.properties" file. Private Cloud release is 1501.

#scheduler thread pool size

Threadpool.size=10

Threadpool.minSize=2

Threadpool.maxSize=20

Need to understand significance of these properties and how they impact the router performance.

Thanks, Rajesh

I don't see these properties in both my 15.01 and 15.04 router.properties.

Is this a fresh install ?

Can you check if you see threadpool.properties under router ?

AFAIK threadpool.properties are the ones considered by the router for any thread related properties .

Correct , I don't see them in my fresh install of 15.01 or 15.04 . If you are seeing these as part of upgarde, upgrade scripts has to be fixed.
