Pre-requisite need to consider on installation of apigee edge on premis multiple DC 12 node topology

Dear Team,

Require your prompt support on the below issue, we already have one Production instance live that needs to be expanded in the same country, planning to go with 12 node PROD environment approach as suggested in the document.

One problem we think of is the communication latency between the two DC as shown in the above image which may impact the key functionalities and features.

If anyone in our community has come across a similar problem statement, please let us know the challenges and things that need to be taken care of during this installation process.

Apigee Private Cloud was designed with multi-datacenter deployments in mind. In fact, almost all OPDK customers have a deployment that is mutli-datacenter. The platform is fairly resilient and can accommodate most latencies. Keep in mind, that data synchronization is eventually consistent.

You should also seriously consider upgrading to the latest version of the platform - Apigee X. This includes a hybrid option that can replace your existing Private Cloud implementation.
