Migrate from - Integrated Developer Portal to Drupal Based Portal

Hi, We are still uncertain and evaluating Developer portal options for Apigee X.

Is it ok to start off with Integrated Developer Portal and then migrate to Drupal based portal later on or should one make the decision at the start itself.

There may be monetization requirements that Integrated portal doesn't cater at this point that are being deliberated.

What may be the challenges to migrate or points to consider later on esp. with Keys, Apps, Products etc. If any one has any experience on it please share.

Here is the decision tree to decide to choose the right developer portal for you along with the comparison

There are no migration challenges for Keys, Apps, Products etc. even if you migrate later from Integrated to Drupal portal.

However, if you're planning for monetization in the near future then you should go for the Drupal developer portal.

Another migration challenge is if you use Integrated portal specific features such as Audiences, Teams.. These are specific integrated portal capabilities, you would need to customize something equivalent yourself in drupal.

Settings as part of publishing products such as any rules you configure on visibility in the portal, descriptions, titles, categories.. these are also specific to the integrated portal
