Inserting JavaScript into SmartDoc Pages

We are trying to enhance our individual API pages within our Developer portal and wanted to add some custom HTML code and specifically some javascript functionality but do not see any interface that allows us to directly code this functionality. Has anyone else had any success in adding javascript functionality to SmartDoc pages?

You can directly add same to template code in settings page. Though, It's weird that we combined CSS + HTML + JS in template settings code.

Another clean way is using a custom module for which you need little bit of drupal expertise.

For example, See this article here where i have added some custom JS at the end. Check attached template file & module file for code.
