I'm working with a business that has Google Enterprise along with Google Cloud Identity Premium. I've been playing around with a test user on a few different devices. I'm trying to figure out why information is missing on some devices. Here is a quick example.
With Dell laptops I'm getting everything. All data and functions are there and working. However, with all Lenovo laptops a nice amount of data plus 3 functions are missing.
Missing Data Includes
- Encryption status
- Potentially harmful apps
- Recent errors
- Manufacturer
- Host name
- Installed app (the entire section)
Missing Functions Includes
- Block device
- Wipe device
- Unenroll device
For my testing I'm not doing anything special. I'm pulling a laptop from our inventory, installing GCPW, and then I login with my test user. All of my tests have been with older and brand new Dell and Lenovo laptops. The results is always the same. Dell gets and gives everything, and Lenovo does not.
Am I missing something here, or is this just how it's going to be with some manufacturers?
