Final update - solved. I had to use quotes around "{region}" and
""{projectId}" and remove quotes around "{response.content}".Following
worked invoke function.response

My mistake.. I had to use "function.response" to get the content from
Cloud Function extension. ConnectorCallout.response always gives
truncated data.
