Apigee X - proxies hanging after deployment

I have recently deployed an evaluation version of Apigee X. Followed the wizard and was able to quickly get the solution deployed. Now we are trying to get some proxies working but as soon as we go into the proxy, the system gets an hour glass and then sits there indefinitely. This even happens with the Hello World proxy. Any help gratefully received
