Apigee’s envoy adapter integration for HTTP/2

  • If Envoy Adapter integration is supported in our Apigee Platform edition.
  • If Envoy Adapter integration relies on Istio at all (if Apigee Remote Service and backend/Targets need to be managed by Istio)
  • Are there any data about Apigee Remote Service’s call processing time characteristics to share so we know the information to scale out and to understand the overhead
  • Aside from Envoy, I am wondering if there are any plans from Apigee to support integration with apache or nginx in the future.
  • The answer in the HTTP/2 support question said: Support for HTTP 2 in Apigee (without using Istio/Envoy adapter) is on the roadmap. Sounds like there is additional plan inside Apigee. We will want to understand their plan.
