All the files and under /opt/apigee must be owned by apigee:apigee

Hi Team,

As we have seen in apigee doc All the files and under /opt/apigee must be owned by apigee:apigee

But here in my case I am using Apigee opdk 4.18.01 version where all the files and folder under /opt/apigee owned by different owner and group(not apigee:apigee) and its working fine but only problem I am facing that the apigee service went down automatically and when we do complete restart the server then at least 2-3 days service work good .

I am suspecting the service went down automatically because our environment doesn't have owner as apigee:apigee?

kindly let me what will be impacts on apigee service if we will not keep owner as apigee:apigee for /opt/apigee

Apigee asks to maintain all in /opt/apigee owner as apigee.

There are lot of scripts, file and commands in the /opt/apigee path which need to read and write frequently. If the ownership and permissions issue will be there some processes may fail.

So, I would suggest to make all the files and directories owned by apigee in /opt/apigee.
