Will Apigee Certification Move to GCP Certification and Count as a GCP Professional Certification?

Hi All,

The question is in the subject line but will ask it here as well. Since Apigee is now part of GCP:

  1. Will the Apigee Certification move or migrate to GCP Certification?
  2. If item 1 is planned, will the Apigee Certification count as a GCP "Professional" Certification?
  3. Will existing certification holders be migrated?

If none above will happen, any insight Googlers can provide about what is planned (or will happen) around Apigee certification is appreciated!

We are in active discussion with the Cloud Learning team. We are not at a place where we can comment on what the future state of the certification would be.

Good question.

Maybe Mike knows.

I'm going to punt this to my colleague @Paul Williams

@Paul Williams @Mike Dunker @GoogleAnd how can we know if we do Apigee Certification or GCP Certification?in case we took the Apigee certification, the most important question will be :

  • Will existing certification holders be migrated?

Your Apigee certification will remain valid for the entire 2 year period that you have earned. What we can't say for certain is if the Apigee certification would be accepted as-is as part of the GCP professional certification suite as points toward your premier partner status.
