Can I have two virtual hosts from two different environments with same port number ?

This is in apigee private cloud environment. In my case, there are two different virtual hosts that are there for two different environments of the same organization. The virtual hosts are having different virtual hosts but the port number for both are the same. I feel this may have a negative impact. Can anyone explain the impact? Thanks.

Use a unique port, and host alias.
