the Edge Message Processor is a bespoke java based component written by Apigee/Google.

Hi Nathan,

The message processor is essentially the engine that receives and processes all your API requests, applies the policies to the runtime requests and serves the response.

As Andy already mentioned it is a component completely written by Apigee/Google in Java, I thought to provide additional information with it.
