Is it okay to use MySQL?

I am using MySQL database system to develop Drupal8 with Apigee Edge on my localhost. After it finished, can I replace it instead my old drupal website on online developer portal? Is it okay to use MySQL?

Yes, you can use Drupal 8 with mysql db for building the devportal with apigee edge.
