Outbound API as Target Endpoint or Service Callout from Message Processor Configure Proxy Server

Hi all, I refer to https://docs.apigee.com/private-cloud/v4.19.01/configure-forward-proxying-edge-backend-server

I like to confirm if I wish to configure an target endpoint or service call out with an external payment gateway URL, to successfully route out, I will need to configure the steps listed in https://docs.apigee.com/private-cloud/v4.19.01/configure-forward-proxying-edge-backend-server

Thank you.

Configuring a proxy like this is only required where your message processor nodes cannot directly reach the target URL. This usually occurs because a firewall is blocking direct access to the URL and your local security policy dictates that this traffic must go via a specific proxy server.

Unless you have such a security policy you do not need to configure this proxy.
