Security, Performance, Any Other Considerations, Limits and Limitations are there to using one Organization in Apigee?

Hi all, like to know and understand if there are any security, performance, or any other Considerations, Limits and Limitations are there to using only one Organization in Apigee?

Other than from an organization users role and access perspective, assuming a few centralized operators of the platform can be identified to manage, are there any other considerations (security, performance), limits and limitations that need to be considered?

Thank you.

I recommend that you engage directly with a customer success architect from the Apigee team to have a deeper in-person discussion. There are a number of considerations, some of which may be important to you.

It might be a good topic for a 7-page paper, but I can't do justice to the topic of your question here in a quick answer.

Some of the issues to consider are:

  • user access and roles
  • developer portals and mapping to specific Apigee Edge organizations
  • Transitioning to Google cloud portal experience
  • shared API key and tokens across an organization
  • security of shared stores like KVM and cache
  • environments and locality

"Performance" is generally not a major factor to consider when deciding on an organization and environment structure. The Apigee Edge service can flexibly accommodate very light to very heavy workloads. But there may be some nuances to your requirements, that could be uncovered in an interactive discussion.
