Apigee http Streaming : 4Gb file taking extra time

My actual endpoint deployed in the cloud and created a proxy with stream enabled.

When I submit the 4GB file via an Apigee proxy endpoint, Its takes almost 11.20 minutes to complete the process. But same 4GB file with direct application endpoint taking only 4.10 mints.

1. What is the actual buffer size in Apigee ? How to increase the buffer size?

2. Why Apigee proxy taking 120% extra time compared to the direct endpoint?
