Hosted target NodeJs returns 500 error

Hi,

I followed a tutorial link https://docs.apigee.com/api-platform/hosted-targets/hosted-targets-tutorials

for hosted target hello world example, somehow when I run giving me a 500 error with a message {"fault":{"faultstring":"Hosted target error","detail":{"errorcode":"messaging.adaptors.http.flow.HostedTargetError"}}}

Any idea where I am going wrong ? or that tutorial article its not complete?

please advise.

Thanks

Hi @mujahedmohammedabdul,

My name's Josh and I work on the Hosted Targets team. If you can give me a little more information I can help debug this from our side.

I just need to know the organization and region where you're trying to create the Hosted Target proxy.

Thanks

Organisation is bupadev and region is UK

Hi Josh,

this is the end point https://bupadev-dev.apigee.net/hellonode and giving 500 error for the hosted-target hello example.

In targetDefault has below xml.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <TargetEndpoint name="default"> <Description/> <FaultRules/> <PreFlow name="PreFlow"> <Request/> <Response/> </PreFlow> <PostFlow name="PostFlow"> <Request/> <Response/> </PostFlow> <Flows/> <HostedTarget/> </TargetEndpoint>

any update on this please ? this is kind of blocker to me.

I am also having the exact same error, I just followed the tutorial here :

https://docs.apigee.com/api-platform/hosted-targets/hosted-targets-tutorials#deploy-nodejs-from-your...

the section :

Deploy Node.js from your system to Edge

Hey Ravi,

Same request to you then. What region are you in and what's your org name?

Hi @bowenjosh

Sorry, currently I not sure if I can disclose my organization name in the forum, but could you give a hint when this error might occur, is it possible that our organization is not enabled with hosted targets ?

If you're in the EU region there is a good chance that your organization will need an additional step on our end to enable Hosted Targets.
