Options for installing apigee Edge

Hello apigee forum,

I would like to know what are the installation options for apigee Edge in multi-cloud and on-premise:

- can I install the solution on kubernetes/aws (for instance) or on-premise on Openshift ?

From what I have read in previous threads on the same topic, only the edge microgateway can be installed on kubernetes.

apigee edge can be controled using ansible scripts based on management APIs.

Can somebody please confirm? Thanks a lot

Joel.

As far as I've learned, the Edge installation can only be performed on the supported platforms. So AWS EC2 should be a viable option. Container technologies such as Kubernetes / Openshift aren't supported afaik.

I have been working on a setup of Apigee using Ansible on RHEL for the last few months; I'm looking to upgrade an existing solution with dev, test and prod environments.

I'm using Vagrant for the dev-environment and for learning the platform myself, and I'm looking at expanding into AWS for the test-env. Prod is running on partner infrastructure, which (I think) is VMware. All environments are currently at RHEL 6.9, but we are looking to upgrade the OS as well.
