can I use Apigee as web application firewall?

Hello Gurus,

I want to know if i can use Apigee as web application firewall. if yes then how?

I have a requirement to put security policies around my internal web application and wondering if i can do that through apigee.

e.g. i expose an endpoint like www.abc.com and which through apigee gets routed to an endpoint as www.abc-internal.com

is it possible?

Yes, iit is possible.

Apigee Edge is not a WAF, but has some features that overlap typical WAF features.

If is possible for you to expose an internal Web app via Apigee Edge, in the manner you describe.

You can also apply client IP whitelists or certificate whitelists on the Apigee inbound interface. Apigee can send its logs to a remote logging service. These are all sort-of WAFFY capabilities. Whether this is WAFFY enough for you is for you to decide.
