APIGEE Certification Topics

Not applicable

I noticed some changes in the APIGEE Certification syllabus recently as mentioned in the below link.

https://academy.apigee.com/index.php/courses/certification/apigee-certification-exam-guide

There are some differences in the section "What do I need to know".

For example, MicroGateway is not included in the new Exam guide. Also seeing some new sections such as 'Designing APIs', 'Deployment Lifecycle and CI/CD'. The topics might be more or less the same as before, but the section titles are really confusing.

Could you please confirm the exact syllabus for the exam?

Hi @Prasad Sharma, even I am confused about the new Apigee Certification Syllabus. To be on a safer side, I would suggest one should know the basics of Microgateway, Hosted Targets, Portals etc.,

Thanks for the feedback. We're constantly trying to improve, and we know we have some way to go.

To be clear, any technology that is generally available are fair game. At the time of this writing, that means microgateway is fair game, but Hosted Targets are not. We cover topics about why portals exist, but nothing on the setup, configuration or maintenance of a portal.

Beyond the technology, we also ask questions about recommended practices. You can see more detail on the API Platform Learning Guide community post.

Since this answer was written, Hosted Targets has become GA, and is now a fair line of questioning.

I do not agree with everything that was said in the posts before me. Of course, we must pay tribute to the great work that is carried out by the API gee and motivates raising the level first of the basics of Microgateway, Hosted Targets, Portals etc., em, and then the further development of specialists. The principle is simple, if you want to develop your career, study your level. This is manifested in the availability of the API technology, although for me this does not mean that "...the Мicrogateway is fair game, but Hosted Targets is not". Of course, I will look for more information in the publication of the API Platform Guide community.

You're right -- at the time I wrote my above comment, Hosted Targets was not GA. It is now GA, so you should be prepared to answer questions about hosted targets.
