Connection failed after enabling Cassandra JMX remote authentication

Hi

After following the instructions per Apigee to enable JMX remote authentication for Cassandra, I am no longer able to open a connection to the server via jconsole. This had been working with anonymous access.

The error we get is "Connection failed. Retry? The connection to service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://<cassandra_server_ip>:7199/jmxrmi did not succeed"

We are running 4.17.05 private cloud & followed these instructions:
