Is Apigee cloud architecture different than on premise installation?

Hi APIGEEKs,

Recently during one of our training I came to know that the on-premise setup of apigee is different than SaaS offering. I am interested to know what kind of tools and technologies are used for SaaS offering.

Like for developer portal postgres is used for on-premise but mysql for SaaS. What database is used for analytics?

Yes, Surely, it's different.

The Apigee Edge runtime runs in the Google Cloud and depends on a bunch of Google cloud services - BigQuery, Stackdriver, GCE, GAE, GCR, and so on.

We don't document the specifics.

The message processor is the same.
