Audit logs do not show Developer App creation and deletion

Within our organization history we are unable to see when developer apps were created or deleted. This is currently affecting an investigation as an app was supposedly deleted a month ago with out anyones knowledge. Is there any way to see why developer apps are not being logged in the audits?

Developer App creation should be in the Organization-scoped Audit logs. You can check here.

If the log you are expecting isn't here, please raise a ticket with support. Alternatively, maybe the details were edited such as the Developer App display name or the consumer keys that are associated with the original app. In this case a deletion won't show up.

One instance where a removed app won't be shown in logs is if the developer was deleted first.
