How to do Containerization of Apigee Components in OpenShift or any other cloud platform as PaaS offering?

Hi Apigeeks,

I have come across an All-in-one container image of Apigee platform( https://docker.apigee.net/apigee-edge-aio), which is for demonstration purposes only.

We have the apigee's 14.17.01 version installed as VMs. We are looking into containerization of the components and scaling it based on traffic load.

Does Apigee provide any such offering where we can containerize individual components and run them as a complete system in OpenShift with help of Kubernetes?

What I mean by individual components is running Cassandra, Zookeeper, QPID, Routers, Message Processors and Management Servers as containers which should be doing service discovery and join the cluster or leave easily.

@Mohammed Zuber, containerization of certain Edge components are in the roadmap. That includes k8s/open shift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

Hi

This was forged by a cooworker, hope it can help

Can we know the status of containerization of edge components and deployed through openshift?

Follow up on this -- can we run message processors, routers in dockers?
