Are the SmartDocs method HBR templates shared across Pantheon environments?

We recently updated an HBR template for an API in our dev instance of our portal site.

Then we noticed that we could also see the same HBR template for the same API in our live instance of our portal site.

Are these synced somehow? Or do they pull the template from the same directory, regardless of environment?

Yes, they template files are stored in the Edge MGMT server along with the model in the org, neither are stored in the Drupal CMS. I suggest putting the environment in the model name if you want to have changes per environment. For example, "API Foo - Test" and "API Foo - Live", and only publish the "API Foo - Test" to the Test environment, "API Foo - Live" to Live.
