How to remove a DC without impacting other DC in a 2-DC setup

We are testing addition of a new DC to an existing DC. Now we need to remove the newly added DC and restore the old DC to earlier state. Is it as simple as running the restore command with the backup files created before addition of new DC? OR are there additional steps required for a clean restore?

What version of Edge are you using?

How backups were done?

What environment is this?

1)We are using v4.16.09

2)Backups were done following the steps in the link

3)Its on Dev environment.

Reason to do this is to verify our backout steps in case something goes wrong when adding a new DC in production.

So please suggest on following:

1)How to restore the existing DC-1 to the state before additional DC-2 was added if the backup files exist?

2)How to restore the state if backup files do not exist?

Attached the steps we followed to successfully remove a DC without any impact.

Make sure to keep a jmeter test case running pointing to dc-1 when you are removing dc-2.removing-a-dc-safely.zip
