Can we configure multi-site environment on private cloud developer portal ?

Hi,

We have a private cloud installed with the developer portal and it has one org with 3 environments in it.

Our requirement is to create a multi-site devportal using the same code for common functionality and separate out 3 environments for each portal, so we can have clean separate environments linked to each developer portal.

Any guidelines anyone can provide on this other than default drupal 7 guidelines that we are aware of https://www.drupal.org/docs/7/multisite-drupal/multi-site-sharing-the-same-code-base.
