How to handle/differentiate apps that are used for development with access to a sandbox VS an app for production

We're supporting a flow where a developer is able to request an App and Sandbox for trying out the API's, developing, and testing. When ready, they can request a different application that will be validated to be used for production with customer databases.

How does Apigee today support this flow?

- Apps used for Development/Testing

- Apps used in production with Customer DBs

Has anyone else gone through this? What have you done?

Hi @Nikita Tarakanov,

Generally it is a good idea to have 2 organizations one for dev, test and one for sandbox & prod. Also API products should be different for each environment. What we have done is Sandbox products are auto approved, but production products require approval. This gives better control when someone wants to upgrade to production.

What is your exact requirement ?
