What policy can I use to update KVMs?

I need to automate alerts to slack and for this I need to store the access token and refresh token somewhere in Apigee, so that when I only need to generate them by hand once and then can use policies in Apigee to refresh them when necessary.

So far I've only found a way through the Management API to update KVMs. Is there a policy within Edge I can use instead, so I don't need to store my own credentials or tokens within Apigee to update the KVM?
