How to make smartdocs point to different proxy environments according to the the pantheon environment?

I want my smartdocs in each developer portal environment (dev-test-live as provided by Pantheon ) to point to corresponding environment of the proxy : dev , test , prod on apigee edge. Is there a way to automate this ?

Is it necessary that I need to have unique model => unique smartdoc => unique swagger spec for each edge environment target ( dev , test , prod ) we need to point to ?
