Should I update contrib modules in the Apigee profile

Our Dev Portal is warning us about security updates. The modules that have available updates are in profiles/apigee/modules/contrib. Can I update those myself, or should I wait for Apigee to issue an update for their profile that includes newer versions of the modules?

We have a release in the works (tentatively scheduled for Monday, 6 March) which will address these issues. You could do the updates yourself, but you will need to revert all those git commits before accepting Apigee updates, or you will experience git conflicts.
