Developer Portal - list "most popular" and "recently used" APIs

Wondering if anyone has managed to get a list of either "most popular" APIs or "recently used" APIs.

If so, how is this information obtained?

Great Question @JoshMcCreight ,

Yes, It's possible to get this information from Apigee Analytics by leveraging Apigee Edge Management Analytics API.

Tricky challenge here is mapping the data with SmartDocs in Developer Portal. You can actually do it by using a small custom module which pulls the information from Analytics API & Maps to smartdocs content based on API Path / API Name (Given SmartDocs metadata has this information & Matches with API Name).

It's definitely doable. Need little bit of Drupal Expertise to build custom modules. Hope it helps.
