Usage of aws cloudwatch as syslogger

Can we use use AWS Cloudwatch instance as a syslogger, to capture syslogs from Apigee Message logging policy

It doesn't look like cloudwatch supports direct syslog connections. If I'm wrong and it does then it should work. But I think instead you'll need to do something like this post explains for pushing data to sumo: https://community.apigee.com/articles/32286/logging-to-sumo-logic-using-javascript-and-http.html
