We are trying to configure Apigee edge on-prem 4.16.01 to use a 3rd party authentication using a non email username (our internal enterprise ID's).
This is working fine using the management API's however logging in the UI fails with the following message
An internal error occurred.
Please contact our support team, or try logging in again.
I followed all of the procedures outlined in the documentation including the one below.

I'm either missing a step or not doing something right in setting the values to run the UI setup again.
Has anyone got the UI to work with non email usernames?
