User enter key and secret in SmartDocs Try-It section

Not applicable

Hi,

We are trying to implement the OAuth2 authorization in SmartDocs with the Try-It button where the user must enter their own Client ID + Secret when using the testing the API

The current implementation requires us (the administrators) to enter a set of Client ID + Secret in the settings page SmartDocs. These will then be stored in the back-end and be used every time anyone tests the API in SmartDocs. Since this functionality is on the server side, it's in the backend where we are not able to design how we want the credentials to be entered.

During the 3-legged OAuth flow, once the resource owner has successfully logged in to the resource, the exchange of the Token and Auth Code that happens between the Application (in this case, the Portal) and the API Proxy will occur in the backend, using only the credentials we entered in the settings.

In Content > SmartDocs > Settings under Template Authentication schemes, I see this sentence "Leave these blank to have the user set the values on the method page." Leaving the fields blank unfortunately does not have this functionality. Was this implemented or is it a bug and just needs a fix?

Thanks,
