Rate Card with Custom Attribute using Bundles

Not applicable

When choosing the Rate Plan type of "Rate Card with Custom Attribute", setting the Charging Model to Bundles throws this error:

"Error updating Rate-plan Metering type - STAIR_STEP is not supported for rating based on custom attribute and UNIT is not supported for rating based on aggregation of custom attribute."

It seems we could just set the Charging Model to Volume Banded and all is good.

We just want the user to get shut off when reaching x transactions so using Volume Banded with just a single band is, we think, the correct solution.

Are there any differences we should be aware of when choosing Bundles vs Volume Banded with a single band (at $0)?

Thanks!

Example: Volume Banded Rate Plan with 0 - 100 band and charge $0. Will allow only 100 calls and 101 call will be blocked.

@akhimich

We set up a plan like the one described above, but we do not see the transactions in the Revenue Reports. Are they supposed to show up there? We see transactions for our Rate Cards with Custom Attributes using Bundles, but not the ones for Volume Banded.

The docs mention "custom attribute number * rate = charge to developer", so we thought maybe the "rate" = the Pricing Flat Rate? We updated that to equal 1, but we are still not seeing anything.

Any idea on what might be happening? Thanks-
