Hi All,
I wanted to understand some best practices about API Monetization for the below use-case.
we will have two API endpoints, api-sandbox.myorg.com and api.myorg.com, with the idea being developers will use "api-sandbox.myorg.com" to test and play around with API calls and use the "api.myorg.com" for their production use.
Now, when I create API products, I can have both these end-points bundled into one API product or into two different API products.
Our Initial approach was to have them in two seperate API products, but that might end-up confusing external developers to sign up for
If I bundle them into same API product, will I be able to control the monetization aspects at the transaction recording level to choose which calls I can monetize?
Designing the rate plans might help you to answer this questions.
What is the difference in price for those two endpoints?
What is the business/monetization model you are trying to achieve?
