Expert Services (ES) is a flexible way to engage the knowledge and expertise of Apigee’s technical resources on your project. This offering is ideal for customers that already have a project team staffed and need help completing a specific task. ES provides direct access to expert technical resources that can complete a variety of tasks .

Services Provided

The team can handle a wide range of requests across all Apigee products and features. Some common services delivered include:

  • Design and Architecture reviews
  • OAuth 2.0 solutions (design and build)
  • Exposing SOAP services as RESTful APIs
  • Performance consulting, including testing and tuning

So how do you engage the Apigee Expert Services Team?

To engage the Expert Services Team, please log an ES request through the Salesforce customer portal:

  • Go to http://apigee.com/about/support/portal
  • Create a new case with record type ‘Expert Services’
  • Fill out the request with as much detail as possible o Submit the request
  • If you don’t already have an account on the customer portal, please request one by submitting a request here, http://apigee.com/about/support/portal
  • Customers can contact their designated practice lead if they have any questions around getting started with Expert Services. They can also use this channel for communications such as purchasing Apigee Service Units (ASUs)

Resource Availability

Expert Services technical resources are available for flexible durations up to 10 consecutive ASUs (10 days worth of work). Any request that requires more than 10 ASUs will require Apigee's Accelerator offering, which includes an Apigee Digital Engagement Lead. Note that requests may take up to 3 weeks before they can be started due to scheduling and resource availability. Please plan ahead for ES requests.

Usage Reports

Apigee will provide reports that enable customers to monitor their weekly and monthly ASU/time usage. This ensures that any pre-paid time balances are visible and any billed time remains within budget for the customer.

On-Site Requests

Expert Services requests for on-site resources will require a minimum of 5 ASUs (5 days of work), plus any applicable travel and expense costs.
