When the hit the direct URL of the birect, the response comes in a compressed format, but when I try the same through APIGEE , after putting Accept-Encoding:gzip as header and Content-Encoding:gzip in the response , it still recieves a large volume of data . Hence I enable streaming, but even then , the data does not pass. So the best idea would be to send the datain a compressed format. Is there a solution?
Hi,
Apigee will uncompress the data, buffer then rezip. You can test this using this url as the target.
Set it up in a very simply proxy with no policies and it should work and give you a gzipped payload.
I would check with a direct curl call to you api to see what it's getting to debug your own issue:
curl -v http:/yourhost:<yourport>your_api_url -H "Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate"
