Does Router listen to all ports for 16.01?

We are noticing that 16.01 Router is listening to all ports. Is this new compared to the previous versions? Is there a way to limit the number of ports on which the Router should listen to?

can you clarify what do you mean by listening on all ports? - Router will listen on all the ports configured at the Virtualhosts

Routers listen on the ports associated to the virtual hosts created for the environments as well as on the management ports used by the router.

Does the above addresses the question?
