What is the use of Session ID dimension ?

I am exploring various dimensions to build my custom report. I want to know the use of session ID dimension. Also it would be great if someone can share a document where all the dimensions are explained.

Hi @Mukundha Madhavan, thanks for your reply. This document doesn't contain Common dimensions as well as advanced dimensions which are provided during creation of custom report.
