Connect Apigee Edge status data to Nagios

Not applicable

Hi Apigee Community,

In our company, we would like to monitor Apigee Edge using the Nagios suite. Nagios can make CURL calls to APIs to retrieve data from an external system.

Are there any APIs in Apigee Edge we can connect to, so we can monitoring status?

Is the appservices api the one we need?

Kind regards,

Jan Willem

Dear @jan.willem.hennink ,

If I am not wrong, you would like to access http://status.apigee.com information via APIs right ?

You can find APIs related to Apigee Status documentation here. Keep us posted if you need anything specific.

If you are using the Private Cloud version then you can integrate with any of the open-source monitoring tools such as Nagios, Collectd, Graphite, Splunk, Sumologic, and Monit to monitor your entire Edge infra. The Edge Operations Guide has information on the usage.

If you are on our Public cloud, we own it and are responsible for monitoring your Apigee instance. As Anil suggested, use http://status.apigee.com/ to view the status on Apigee components.

If you are using Private cloud , refer to the document- ApigeeEdgePrivateCloud-Operations-Guide.pdf and look for sections related to JMX . Nagios can connect Edge using JMX. In case you are using Apigee Public cloud , as mentioned above http://status.apigee.com will give all details .
