How can I edit or delete a rate plan in the Monetization module?

Hi! I'm trying to set up rate plans under a package. They are essentially rate cards that offer a bundle of transactions for a specific price. I added my API Product to my API Package and I'm trying to configure the rate plans. I made two mistakes and I would like to edit (or delete) the rate plans in question so that I can start over, but I don't see an option to edit the plan and when I try to delete the plans in question, I receive an error message that says "Error while deleting Rate-plan. Unknown error."

Is there something else I should be doing and/or looking at? Thank you!

The Create rate plans topic has been adjusted to reflect the latest preferred guidance, as noted above by sananthula.

After you publish a rate plan, you can only modify the end date. You cannot delete a rate plan after it's published, but you can expire the rate plan and replace it with a future rate plan, as described in Updating and expiring a published rate plan.

Is there a way to delete a rate plan that is published or at the least make that a public plan. This is very annoying and is needed when we are trying to set up the rate plans. Any guidance please !!
