difference between 13 Node & 12 Node cluster

Not applicable

Dear All,

In apigee's install config guide i see 13 Node & 12 Node cluster. I believe we get high availability using both & 12 node provide disaster recovery as well. Can anyone please let me know pros/cons of each setup ?

Also can i setup 13 Node cluster across 2 availability zones in Same region of aws ? Or i have to go with 12 node cluster where i will setup 6 nodes each in 2 of those availability zones ?

Hi Krishna,

In AWS terminology,

13 Node setup is for a single region - the components can span across AZs within a region. Its a performance HA setup with separate data zone and also provides HA for all the components including management

12 Node setup is for 2 AWS regions - Its for Min API traffic [data and runtime share same instances]

Thanks,
