Does applying the Apigee stream updates via Pantheon take care of security patches?

As far as the modules that came with the Apigee developer portal, does applying the git updates from upstream take care of all updates and security patches? Of course, Drupal modules that I manually upload or download from drupal.org are our responsibility. What are other house-keeping items that need to be performed on the Drupal developer portal every so often?

Yes, Apigee stream updates takes care of security patches via pantheon.

And the things need to be performed on the drupal developer portal often is to simply

1.) Run DB updates

2.) Clear cache

@jose.cedeno , You clear cache when you upgrade site, theme, modules. It's just one time activity.
