Not able to create a basic API proxy

I am trying to create a new API proxy by following the steps given at http://apigee.com/docs/api-services/tutorials/add-and-configure-your-first-api

But while building the proxy,it's showing error as ‘Critical error: saving revision failed and the system couldn’t recover.'

Can anyone tell me in which scenario we get the above error and the resolution to it.
