Using multiple versions of Apigee Private Cloud on the same System

Not applicable

Could anyone please answer to the following questions from a customer of Apigee Private Cloud? Is it just possible to install multiple versions mixed in a single multi-DC system where each DC in its region has a set of Apigee Edge, BaaS and DevPortal? For example, if there are existing DC-A/B using Ver. 4.14.07.00 on CentOS 6.3 of Apigee Edge and BaaS and Ver. 4.15.01.00 of DevPortal on CentOS 6.5, then can we add on the new DC-C/D with new ones of the latest Ver. 4.15.07.00? Assuming these 4DCs are interconnected for Cassandra ring/Zookeeper and replication of LDAP and Management server data, etc. Also DevPortal MySQL data is supposed to be replicated across regions. If it's a possible scenario are there any considerations to take and recommendation of the version of OS for the new components?

Hi there!

Given that most of the Apigee components are interconnected across DC's, It is not recommended to use the different versions of Apigee private cloud across DC's. This may cause the data inconsistencies issue across DC's. Please plan to have the same version running across all DC's to avoid any component dependencies issue. Hope this helps.
